How do I get a NIST SP 800-171 assessment?


1. Register in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE): In order to get a NIST SP 800-171 assessment, the first step is to register in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE). This can be done by visiting the PIEE website, where you will be asked to create an account. Once your account is created, you will need to provide basic information about your company and the services you provide.

2. Request Access to SPRS: Once you have registered in the PIEE, you will need to request access to the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). This can be done by submitting a request online or by calling the SPRS Help Desk. Once your request is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the SPRS.

3. Obtain a SPRS Cyber Vendor User Role: In order to get a NIST SP 800-171 assessment, you will need to obtain a SPRS Cyber Vendor User role. This can be done by logging into the SPRS and selecting the “Cyber Vendor User” role from the list of available roles. Once you have been granted the role, you will be able to enter and edit basic self-assessment information.

4. Submit Self-Assessment Information: Once you have obtained the SPRS Cyber Vendor User role, you will need to submit self-assessment information. This can be done by logging into the SPRS and selecting the “Self-Assessment” tab. Here, you will need to provide detailed information about your company’s security practices and procedures.

5. Receive NIST SP 800-171 Assessment: Once you have submitted your self-assessment information, you will receive a NIST SP 800-171 assessment. This assessment will provide detailed information about your company’s security practices and procedures, and will also provide recommendations for improving your security posture.
