Navigating the future of AI governance in Victoria
Victoria’s push to build a world-class AI economy is accelerating expectations for regulated organisations. Critical infrastructure and government leaders are now being asked to prove control, fast, across SOCI, VPDSS, Essential Eight, and emerging AI infrastructure requirements. This invitation-only forum brings Melbourne executives together to explore what sovereign AI governance looks like in practice, and how to move from periodic self-attestation to continuous, evidence-based assurance.

- “Sovereign AI” claimed vs demonstrated
- Deployment outpacing obligations
- Accountability for AI harm
2:30 PM – 3:15 PM
Part two: From policy to continuous regulatory confidence
A practical path from documents to evidence: assurance maturity (0–5), the role of shared standards (e.g., ISO 42001 / NIST AI RMF), and the operating model for continuous regulatory confidence (evidence linked to obligations, controls mapped to real services, assurance that runs continuously).
