The AML/CTF Rules are subsidiary legislative instruments made under the AML/CTF Act. The AML/CTF Rules provide the detail for the broader obligations set out in the AML/CTF Act. The AML/CTF Rules are made by the AUSTRAC CEO and then registered on the Federal Register of Legislation. Changes to the AML/CTF Rules are made through individual Amendment Instruments, which are then combined into a single compilation of the full text of the AML/CTF Rules.
